Messi, Kobe and Pele Star on FIFA 16 operatic ad



EA Sports has launches FIFA 16 with a glorious romp of a spot that sets the "beautiful game" of football to a soaring operatic soundtrack.
As what Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam Creative Director David Smith said, "For a game that provides as much beauty as football it's surprising more operas haven't been written about it. So it seemed appropriate to add one to the world's oeuvre."
The ad was directed by Traktor, and was talking around a football focused rewrite of the famous Figaro's Aria from "The Barber of Seville," (renamed "FIFAro"). The ad features special appearances from famous players such as Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and women's soccer star Alex Morgan, who is in a teaser from earlier this year promoting the FIFA 16 introduction of female players.
Fun, random scenes are also thrown in, besides, with two fans having a trombone battle. Other sports greats Kobe Bryant and Pele also appear.
FIFA 16 will be launched after September 22nd on all platforms, be ready for FIFA 16!
