11 individuals are prohibited football-related activities by Independent Ethics Committee
Hans-Joachim Eckert, the chairman of fifa coins the adjudicatory
chamber of the Ethics Committee, have prohibited 11 individuals taking part in
any football-related activities temporarily on a national and international
level in line with the investigations carried out by the investigatory chamber
of the Ethics Committee and the latest facts stated by the US Attorney’s Office
for the Eastern District of New York.
In terms of art. 83 par.1 of the FIFA Code
of Ethics, Dr Cornel Borbély who is the chairman of the investigatory chamber
required to make the decicision.
Chairman Eckert stated that as it is a serious charge
related with football, they need to take immediate action to deal with this.
All the proceddings of actions will be under the rules of the FIFA Code of
Ethics.
The following are the prohibited
individuals: Jeffrey Webb, Eduardo Li, Julio Rocha, Costas Takkas, Jack Warner,
Eugenio Figueredo, Rafael Esquivel, José Maria Marin, Nicolás Leoz, Chuck
Blazer and Daryll Warner.
